1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Memocho web application at usememocho.com (including all country sub-paths and mirrors), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Memocho provides a Japanese-inspired, pastel aesthetic rich text editor and online notepad with features including:

• Rich text formatting (bold, italics, underline, highlighter markers, colored pens, kawaii emojis).
• Multiple stationery themes, paper grid styles, and custom doodle wallpapers.
• Local browser autosave and export functions (.txt, .md, .html).
• Optional Google Cloud Synchronization powered by Supabase.

We reserve the right to enhance, modify, or update features of the service at any time to improve user experience.

3. Content Ownership & Intellectual Property

The Memocho brand, logo, original cute artwork, user interface styling, doodle illustrations, and application source code are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the Memocho application itself without prior written permission.

4. User Accounts & Google Cloud Sync

You are not required to create an account to use Memocho. If you choose to enable cloud sync via Google OAuth:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.
• You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or data.
• You may disconnect or delete your cloud-synchronized data at any time.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Memocho in a lawful and respectful manner. You must not:

• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or burden the servers, databases, or API networks connected to Memocho.
• Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to flood or abuse the cloud sync API endpoints.
• Attempt to bypass authentication or access notes belonging to other users.
• Use the platform for any unlawful activities violating applicable local, national, or international regulations.

6. Third-Party Services, Advertisements & External Links

Memocho may display links, third-party services, or advertisements (such as Google Ads / AdSense). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. Any interactions or transactions with third-party advertisers found on or through Memocho are solely between you and the respective third party.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is")

Memocho is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we strive for 100% uptime and reliable autosave:

• We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or immune to browser cache purges.
• We encourage you to use the built-in Download / Export features to periodically back up critical information to your local drive.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Memocho and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:

• Loss of data, notes, or browser cache clears initiated by device cleaning tools or user action.
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our servers.
• Any bugs, viruses, or security vulnerabilities caused by third-party browser extensions or hardware failures.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. If significant changes occur, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of Memocho after any revisions constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
